Questions We Hear Often
A cold plunge has a chiller only: it holds water at a set cold temperature and does nothing else. A combination tub has both a chiller and a heater, so the same vessel can be run cold or warm depending on how you set it. The combination unit costs more and takes hours to change between modes, but it saves you owning two tubs.
Anything with a chiller does, and so does anything with a pump or filter — check the electrical spec on the individual product page, since requirements vary a good deal between models. Wood-fired hot tubs are the exception: they heat by convection from a wood stove and need no power at all unless you add an optional pump.
Measure the footprint and the height, then measure your access route — gates, side passages, stairs and doorways are where deliveries usually come unstuck, not the final spot. Check the filled weight against whatever the tub will stand on, and confirm you have a level, load-bearing base. Every product page lists dimensions and weight.
About Our Tubs
Water immersion splits neatly into three categories, and picking the right one is mostly a question of what you want available and what you are willing to run. A cold plunge is a chilled vessel held at a set temperature, ready whenever you are. A wood-fired hot tub is the opposite: nothing to plug in, nothing on standby, but an hour or three of fire-tending before you get in. A combination tub does both jobs in one shell, at the cost of a slow changeover between them.
Beyond category, the decisions that matter are the unglamorous ones. Capacity, because every extra gallon is more to chill or heat. Electrical supply, because chillers and heaters have real requirements that are far easier to sort out before delivery. Base and access, because a filled tub is heavy and a crated one is bulky. And materials, because these live outdoors: thermally modified timber, cedar, fiberglass and stainless all age differently. Each product page carries the dimensions, weight and electrical spec you need to check against your site.
